Part 2 of a 4 part series. “Then I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and a brightness was all around it and radiating out of it’s midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance….” The second face was of a lion!

I did this piece for my nephew at the bequest of my brother in law. I thought a jaguar at rest was fitting. I love the idea of big cats relaxing. They look so peaceful and yet we know the power they contain that can be brought to bear in a moment. This one’s for you Calvin, Love uncle Jason.

I’ve tried to capture the beauty and simplicity of a bird in flight, while keeping the painting simple at the same time. Robin’s hold a special place in the hearts of my family, so this now becomes a gift from my family to yours.
